Artistic direction of the exhibition 2020

In 2020 the DomQuartier focuses on Salzburg’s great musical tradition, which is inseparably bound up with the history and the various rooms in the Residenz and the Cathedral precinct, as well as with Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber, Georg Muffat, Antonio Caldara, Leopold and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Michael Haydn – long before the inauguration of the Salzburg Festival.

Teaching materials for schools 2018

After checkpointmedia had already played a leading role in the great jubilee celebration "70 Years of the Marshall Plan" and had put together an exhibition for this occasion, which could subsequently be seen at various locations in Austria, the materials developed were also to be prepared for teaching purposes and thus made available to schools throughout Austria.

For the new installation of the Meteorite Gallery, a concept was developed in partnership with Arno Grünberger/spurwien to devise a modern method of knowledge transfer that sensitively combines the existing architecture with multimedia elements and exhibits.

New and revised edition of the OMV CD-ROM

In 2004, checkpointmedia cooperated with grayling (formerly known as Trimedia) to produce the CD-ROM on "Petroleum and Natural Gas - From Fossil to Fuel" on behalf of the OMV. The contents have now been completely revised and updated in keeping with the latest developments in research and production. The CD-Rom is available in German and English.

Exhibition "90 years of the Salzburg Festival"

In 2010, the Salzburg Festival celebrated its 90th anniversary. A traditional style exhibition with panels, objects and models seemed inadequate for presenting the sheer variety of artistic brilliance. Consequently, the displays and texts were "fanned out" to reflect the scope of the Festival's history.

For the foyer of the Vienna Boys' Choir's Augartenpalais, checkpointmedia creates an information terminal, which presents the choir's numerous tours as an interactive journey.

Palais Epstein

Exhibition 2006

Five media stations equipped with high-format 30-inch screens enabled visitors to call up texts, pictures, graphics, animation films and short video clips. One animation film showed "Owners and utilisation of the buildings on the Ringstrasse in 1914", another provided an overview of the inhabitants of the Palais Epstein building complex during the last century. A special station was developed with information about the Epstein family, with a family tree interface and a family tree animation film.
