As winner of the tender
by the funeral company Bestattung und Friedhöfe Wien, checkpointmedia, together with OMS as full service general contractor,
has been commissioned with the construction and design of the new museum.
checkpointmedia’s
carries out the technical enhancement of a multimedia presentation tool for trade fairs and events for the Foreign Trade Office
of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce.
Following on from the first concept for a "treasure chamber" in 2003, a new attempt
to present archaeological finds from Wattens was made in 2007, as part of a joint initiative with Arno Grünberger/spurwien.
The visitors' centre at
the Austrian Parliament, created by architects Geiswinkler & Geiswinkler, represents an opening up to the outside world
and provides a gathering point for tourists and interested citizens.
For the exhibition
"Archbishop Paris Lodron (1619-1653), Statesman between War and Peace", checkpointmedia designed and installed a complex projection
installation and an information display for the entrance hall of the Salzburg Dommuseum.
checkpointmedia constructs the electronic controls
for the video cinema of the Water Pipeline Museum, a department of the Museum Wildalpen, as commissioned by the Municipal
Authority of Vienna.
The Lower Austrian
Provincial Exhibition “Mystical Waldviertel” in Ottenstein
and Waldreichs in 2001 made use of a large number of interactive media stations.
In 2001, the Viennese sound artists
sha & GTT were commissioned by the City of Vienna to develop a walk-in sound installation for Dornerplatz in Vienna’s
17th district.
