Artistic direction of the exhibition 2020

In 2020 the DomQuartier focuses on Salzburg’s great musical tradition, which is inseparably bound up with the history and the various rooms in the Residenz and the Cathedral precinct, as well as with Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber, Georg Muffat, Antonio Caldara, Leopold and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Michael Haydn – long before the inauguration of the Salzburg Festival.

Sconarium Visitor Centre for Bad Schönau

Conception and implementation of the exhibition content 2019

The Bad Schönau spa community built the "Sconarium" for 2.8 million euros, a modern visitor and event centre dedicated entirely to the subject of therapy and natural carbon dioxide gas. The company Handler Bau with its project partners Atelier Mauch and checkpointmedia was commissioned to build and implement the sconarium following a call for tenders.

The Swarovski Crystal Worlds is among the most popular tourist spots in Austria. As part of the redevelopment of the Chambers of Wonder in 2007, additional highly appealing attractions were conceptualised and installed, which work with spatial scenarios and striking multimedia elements.

Mozarthaus Vienna

Media installations 2006

The audio-visual installations in the Mozarthaus are inspired by media techniques and "wonder worlds" from Mozart's time: the installation on the topic of “Figaro” combines the principle of old puzzle dice games with modern aesthetics and video technology. The grand finale is the multimedia homage to Mozart's opera "The Magic Flute": a stage set made of scenery, projections and lighting effects showing a short version of "The Magic Flute" as virtual "mirror opera" from 1791 until the present day.

Illwerke’s "energie.raum"
